As a resident of Strathcona County for over 50 years my roots here run deep...
My Great Grandparents were among the first families to settle in the Josephburg area in 1891, which is where my Mother was born and raised. My Dad grew up in the Municipal District of Cloverbar which became part of Strathcona County when it was formed. My parents eventually built our family home in Ardrossan, where I was raised, and they still reside.
This community raised me, and I am proud to call it home.
My husband Greg and I raised and educated our four children here. We took pride watching as they actively participated in all the sports the community provides. They continue to work and live here as they pursue their dreams. I have the luxury of enjoying the amenities here with my granddaughter, and soon my grandson.

As a business owner in Strathcona County since 1997, I understand first hand, the importance of industry and community support. My ongoing work with boards and charity organizations has given me great insight into the well-rounded community in which we live.
I invite everyone to engage in my vision for our great county as we shape responsible growth, fiscal accountability, and social development for all our residents from our seniors to our newest additions.
Ward 6, I would be honoured to act as your conduit to council, to share your needs and wants for our future. I hope to count on your support October 18, 2021, and look forward to working with you for the next 4 years. There is work to be done, so let’s get busy!
For Your Family
- Champion to find balance with our families during the ongoing pandemic to ensure mental health, physical health, and economic needs are being met.
- Lobby to expand rural pedestrian-bike trail system.
- Seek installation of standardized, professional address signs to increase property and resident safety in regards to emergency services.
- Pursue companies that can work to ensure high speed internet is available throughout the county as this need became evident when we were forced to work and do school from home.
For Your Community
- Strategize to meet the social, physical, and mental health needs of our seniors in the community as this issue has been highlighted by the ongoing pandemic.
- Aim to ensure personal and property security needs are being met for residents, both rural and urban.
- Support a vision for our community that is attainable, responsible, and sustainable.
- Encourage input from residents. All issues are significant, and all calls will be answered and addressed.
- Work in constructive collaboration with councillors and elected officials at both the municipal and provincial level.
To Ensure Responsibility
- Work to build and support projects that give the biggest return on our county investment dollars, while creating the most positive impact in the community.
- Seek our infrastructure and roadways department to: properly plan, schedule, budget, and execute to minimize the disruption in daily community life.
- Ensure that developers work to create the least environmental impact from our approved projects, and then hold them to their promises.
- Foster new business development and grow existing ones.
To Enhance Accountability
- Work on transparency in the information being delivered to our residents such as real costs on projects, accurate timelines, etc.
- Reduce the amount of in camera session time (refers to closed door private meetings) to create trust between our council and our community.
- Ensure funds used by councillors to fund priority based projects are used properly.
